It seems like no time at all has passed since we CPH-Denisonians started to plan the adventure of a lifetime: the Bicentennial of Oktoberfest. Well... IT'S FINALLY HERE! 5 months later we're beginning to pack our bags, print our boarding passes, and detox for a couple of days before we embark on our journey to Munich. 48 hours exactly (we leave CPH at 6:45am Friday morning and get on a plane back at 6:30am Sunday morning) of German beer, large tents, essentially no sleep, the occasional shower, and the craziest reunion anybody from Denison could ever ask for. We're coming from all over the place: Copenhagen, Heidelberg, Aix en Provence, Alicante, and one special visitor is coming from the village we hold so close to our hearts -- Granville, Ohio!
I don't think I could be any more excited about this weekend. Our hotel will probably dread the day they decided to book who knows how many college students, the waitresses will likely get frustrated with all of our shouting, and we'll inevitably never want to leave... and that's what makes this reunion so beautiful. How many times can a person say that they reunited with their best friends from college in Munich at the BICENTENNIAL OF OKTOBERFEST!? Once.
It's been 4 months since we've seen each other, Bonesleez. Tears will be shed.
